ABOUT
About LAH Accessibility
With only 17% of high school graduates with disabilities securing employment and a bachelor's degree only raising that figure to 31%, we recognize the immense need for a new approach.
At LAH Accessibility, we believe that anyone can excel with the right resources and opportunities. This belief inspired the creation of Career Steady, a program designed to help people with disabilities secure stable and fulfilling employment.
We also understand that success can take many forms. Some may find their path through creativity or entrepreneurship. To encourage people with disabilities to define success on their own terms these endeavors, we launched Career Edgy and Career Artsy.
Together, we are breaking barriers and building a future where everyone can thrive.
APPROACH
By and For People with Disabilities
At LAH Accessibility, we take a unique approach to empowering people with disabilities because our organization is built by people with disabilities. We believe that the most effective solutions come from those who have experienced the challenges firsthand. This lived experience allows us to understand the nuanced needs of the community and create programs that resonate on a deeper, more personal level.
Our programs—Career Steady, Career Edgy, and Career Artsy—are designed with a true understanding of the barriers people with disabilities face in employment, education, and entrepreneurship. We know that traditional workplace support may not always be enough, and through our own experiences, we’ve discovered the importance of flexibility, creativity, and community. This perspective helps us craft more inclusive opportunities that focus not only on overcoming obstacles but also on empowering individuals to define and create their own success.
By being a community of people with disabilities for people with disabilities, we ensure that every initiative, program, and service we offer is relevant, supportive, and impactful. This shared experience fosters trust, drives innovation, and ultimately results in better outcomes for the individuals we serve.
